Respect for the CAMP and each other is essential.

S-R aims to be a safer space where racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, aggressive behavior and unwanted touching are not tolerated. We're counting on everyone to bring a positive, communal attitude of respect and care as we create this space together.

No smoking inside the venues, cabins, by the pool, or anywhere other than the designated smoking areas. There's one by each stage, at the campgrounds & campfire. This is very important to the camp.

Leave no trace - that includes cigarette butts, cans/cups, trash, and leaving things behind at your cabin or campsite. Don't bring glitter, confetti, etc. Keep it clean and pick up litter as you go.

No grilling, fires, candles or fireworks.  But there will be a campfire at The Grove.

No BYOB alcohol, but food is ok. The project depends upon support from our bar.

Zero tolerance for theft, vandalism or violence.

No RVs, no glamping, no pets, no speakers.

No swimming in the pond, we are told there are snapping turtles 🐢.

Hard drugs and GHB are banned - we are far away from a hospital and it’s too dangerous. Due to the risk involved, memberships will be revoked for anyone carrying or using, and you will have to leave.

Look after yourself and each other. Be mindful of your sleep, sustenance and consumption levels. If someone around you looks unwell, is acting recklessly or harassing others - please report it to the safer space team, security, and/or first aid immediately.

If anything or anyone makes you feel unsafe or overwhelmed, find a safer space monitor for support. At night, they’ll have purple glow bracelets at the back of the dance floors. They carry Narcan, fentanyl test strips, earplugs, gum, glucose packets and electrolyte tablets. If you need help during the day, please approach medical, security, or a bartender. Don’t hesitate to seek their help for issues big or small.

Be quiet in the campsites and cabins when people are sleeping (around 4AM-1PM).

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Sleeping bag/bedding and pillow for your bunk bed or tent (all mattresses in the bunks are twin).

Warm clothes, extra socks, shoes & rain gear.  It can get very cold at night and could rain!!

An ID for check-in that matches your ticket. If you are trans and your ID has your dead name, also bring proof of your email address matching the ticket. All attendees must be 21+.

Bug spray. Check for ticks because there is Lyme disease in the area.

Don't bring laptops or valuables. The cabins have no locks.

Cash if you prefer to use it. There is no ATM on site, but the restaurant and bars take credit cards too.

You won’t get cell service on campus, so make a note of your bunk assignment & bus ticket times. They only need your name at check in, but download/print your e-tickets to remember your assignments.

Bathing suit and towel.

Water bottle. There is free water at the campground, stages, and kitchen.

Flashlight or Headlamp. You’ll walk through the woods a lot.

If you're camping:
•  A waterproof tent and tarp.
•  Air or foam mattress - sleep with a barrier between you and the cold and damp ground.

WHERE'S MY BUNK?

Assignments are printed on the bottom right hand side of your e-ticket PDF. Make sure to save it in advance because there is no cell service at camp.  Letter bunks are near the Bossa Stage, Number Bunks are by the basketball court up the hill. Here is the map.

CAN I REFUND OR TRANSFER MY TICKET?

Yes, by purchasing a Ticket Refund or Ticket Transfer on the Shopify Store. If you are someone’s guest and don’t have a login you can use: contact@sustain-release.com / pw: guestlogin2021.
Bus tickets can be transferred to someone else for free using the link in the ticket you received from Universe.com, and you can email us to cancel or change the time on a bus ticket.
Ticket refunds & transfers close on Wednesday Sept 13. This is strict because they are processed manually and it takes time.
Help us maintain a safer space - don't sell your tickets to anyone you don't know or trust.
Memberships will be revoked for selling to strangers, scalping (selling at a higher price) or if your guests cause problems at the event (like breaking the rules listed above).

CHECK-IN + PARKING

If you are taking the shuttle bus, check-in takes place there at Nowadays. Check-in onsite is 4PM-1AM on Thursday and Friday inside the parking lot at 100-266 S Maplewood Rd ( Lot 1) and when that parking lot fills (probably sometime Thursday night), it will move to the new parking lot at 553 S. Maplewood Rd (Lot2). Friday check in will be at Lot 2. Parking pass tickets are required.

Due to neighbor complaints, we can no longer allow walking on the road to your car, it will be shuttle-only. Shuttles will run: Thursday 4PM-1AM, Friday 4PM-1AM, Saturday 12PM-8PM, Sunday 11AM-4PM. The bus is 45 passenger and will take you and your belongings from the parking lots to campus, and back. Please never drive directly to campus as it causes traffic and blocks the buses.

What do I do if I'm late for check in, OR COMING ON SATURDAY?

After hours check is available Thurs and Friday 1AM-2AM, Friday 12PM-4PM, and Saturday 1PM-7PM, by calling Mara who can meet you at the front gate. (845) 313-5798. There’s NO after hours check in outside of these hours so, plan accordingly.

What if it rains?

Unfortunately, it has many times, so come prepared! The Main Stage is inside, but The Grove is outdoors.

LOST & FOUND

Is located in the infirmary in a plastic bin. If you find something, please bring it here ASAP. If you lost something, please look for it here or where you left it. The lost and found is not monitored, and after camp ends, we only take back IDs, wallets, and other valuables. The camp throws away most items, so if you lost something, it would be best to look for it yourself before you leave. If you left something on the bus, you can try contacting JTRO for the shuttles to /from NYC, and Rolling V for the local shuttle to/from the parking lot.

CAN I WRITE A FEATURE / PUBLISH PHOTOS?

Email us to ask first. S-R prefers to go under-the-radar with minimal press. We ask for any features, photo galleries, or reviews to be approved by us in advance.
